1654 – Happy Half-Birthday!

I know what you’re thinking! BUT, per Lewis Carroll: An unbirthday is an event that is typically celebrated on any of the 364 or 365 days in which it is not the person’s birthday. It is a neologism coined for  “Through the Looking-Glass.” One’s unbirthday should not be confused with one’s half-birthday, which only occurs once a year. Now that we have that straightened out, this delight should have everyone “ooooh”ing and “aaaah”ing like crazy. Just the idea of having a “Happy Half-Birthday” party will tip off the guests regarding how much little Natalie is loved and cherished. A little slice of heaven, this single round tier is done up in shades of pink. Pale pink for the base icing, then sweet little flowers in a darker shade of pink, with bright yellow centers, for ornamentation. A cute little pink bunny is represented on the side of the cake, alongside a (much beloved, I’m certain) charming little teddy bear. Atop this piece rests a pair of dainty yellow ballet flats, complete with yellow bows. For a birthday, unbirthday, or half-birthday, this design is ideal.
