1746 – Jack & Sally (Skellington)

Jack Skellington and Sally are the primary characters in “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.” The 1993 American stop-motion musical fantasy film directed by Henry Selick and produced/co-written by Tim Burton tells the story of Jack Skellington, a being from “Halloween Town” who opens a portal to “Christmas Town” and decides to celebrate the holiday, with some dastardly and comical consequences. During the course of the story, Jack and Sally also fall in love. This distinctly “different” wedding design is for the couple with decidedly unusual tastes. The blue and black motif shows scenery from Halloween Town, and the top of the cake reproduces the scene at the end of the movie, on the hill of the graveyard, where Jack confesses his reciprocal feelings for Sally. The lyrics to their love song are poignant and perfect for any couple about to be married. A little on the “dark” side, this design is charming, nonetheless, for the bride and groom who are looking for something a little bit divergent from the norm. “Jack and Sally’s Romance” might be for you.
