1835 – Ferocious T-Rex (not!)

Children do seem to have an affinity for dinosaurs – even though many of them were truly fierce creatures, worthy of the stuff of nightmares. They pour over picture books, repeatedly, and learn their names better than most adults do. There’s no mistaking the fact that this hand-molded and artfully tinted specimen is one of the most feared in the kingdom, the legendary Tyrannosaurus Rex. But this particular one does not appear to be very terrifying or threatening. Even though he has a plethora of very sharp-looking teeth, and talons that are capable of shredding and doing serious damage, he looks simply “misunderstood”, and like he wants to make friends. Sitting on a pedestal of a scrumptious looking round tier that’s dusted with shredded chocolate, he’s merely present to with Aydin a very happy third birthday. “Ferocious T-Rex (not!)” is an inspired choice for the aficionado of those creatures who roamed the earth during the Cretaceous Period, 67 to 66 million years ago.
